Willow - Golden

Willow - Slow Golden - David Buell

Mill the ingredients, except the 80 mesh charcoal and Ti, together for a few hours and then screen in the remainder. Use a moderately reactive charcoal such as pine.
An 18 mm pumped star will burn for 10+ seconds and hang for 30s or so in the sky. A beautiful effect indeed

Ralph's Glitters

Ralph's Comments
"Don't mill my original formula as it has no delay agent and the sulfide/aluminium reaction may occur instantly if it is over milled. But you can mill the charcoal and the sulfur together just to break up the lumps.
I get best results when the KNO3 is around the consistency of caster sugar I find a better glitter effect is achieved this way. some people do mill the glitter and version 2,3,4 all work quite well after milling.
